WOSM has 12 fellowship-trained and board-certified orthopedic surgeons specializing in neck, elbow, hand/wrist, hip, spine, knee and foot/ankle
- Over 75 employees including a clinical support team of physician assistants and physical/occupational therapists
- Catchment area expands nationally and internationally with nearly 40,000 patient visits annually
Transaction Highlights:
On December 31, 2021, Aligned Ortho partnered with WOSM to create the leading orthopedic care services provider in the region with 27 world class orthopedists
The combined platform remains physician-led and majority physician-owned
The transaction was structured tax efficiently to maximize capital gains treatment on cash proceeds and tax deferral of rollover equity
The transaction provided shareholder liquidity and growth capital to finance the expansion of the practice via tuck-in acquisitions and the addition of complementary ancillaries
